13 Feb. 2013 - Revelation 7:1-8

Revelation 7:1-8

And we stop. Throughout the whole of the last chapter, We have seen the Lamb opening the seven seals, beginning the end times. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, ... and take five!

In verse 1, we see the angels preparing to let loose destruction upon the earth and sea, when the command is given, however, verses 2-3 shows Christ rising, halting the angels' destruction such that the servants of God (I presume He is referring to the literal Israelites)  may be sealed, or protected from the upcoming holocaust.

Immediately following this, in verses 4-8, we see God following through with His plan, saving His people. It must be noted, though, that Dan isn't on the list of Israelite tribes. Why? Because the tribe of Dan led Israel into gross idolatry.

The main thing I see form this passage, though, is that God is faithful. He keeps His word and is always perfectly mindful of His people.
